Data protection

Pure navigation and reading of our Internet pages:
When navigating our pages, none of your personal data is stored without your knowledge.
A collection of your IP address allows us a secure connection with our server. We see the time of access, pages visited, the time spent on our pages, clicks made and popular pages. Under no circumstances can we draw conclusions from these data to concrete personal address data such as name and street or concrete place. That's not in our interest either. We use this data to further optimize our offer for you. The data is evaluated anonymously for statistical purposes in an automated process. We store this data in accordance with legal requirements. There will be no further use of the data. A transfer to state institutions only takes place if there is a legal overriding interest and we are obliged to do so by court order. In the event of a targeted attack on our website and / or server systems, we use the traces left behind to identify the associated systems and in the further course of law enforcement. To protect against such attacks, we reserve the right to exclude certain IP addresses from the use of our offer.

Use of a contact form, transmission of an e-mail message or data reception/contact outside this website:
As soon as you send us personal data such as name, address, telephone number and messages via a contact form or by e-mail, these will be used according to the purpose of individual contact with you on association-relevant topics and processed and stored electronically. Your data will be stored until your interest in information ceases to exist. The data will not be passed on to third parties. An exception to this may be the forwarding of your address to a dispatch service provider for the purpose of delivering goods or information material ordered from us. As far as this is necessary to fulfil common association purposes, your personal data will be passed on by IHO to its umbrella associations VCI (Verband der chemischen Industrie e.V.) and A.I.S.E. (International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products). If we use external service providers as contractors, your data will also be passed on to them. By entering your personal data, we require your consent to this procedure. We use the data you actively generate to answer your questions, book ordered services or to give you access to special information or offers. We have taken precautions to ensure that the data you send us within a form is protected against unauthorized access.

Your certainty that we handle your data with care and in accordance with legal regulations is important to us. Therefore, you have the possibility to view, correct and/or delete your data stored with us at any time, provided that the statutory provisions do not prescribe any other retention periods or that your data is required for processing an active process such as e.g. orders or registration for a payable service.
